How learning works

From learning to application

Not awareness sessions or video courses. Each program is a narrow subject taught in depth, building the capability to interpret, decide, respond and document.

  1. 01

    Choose

Select the responsibility you want to strengthen. Each program stands on its own.

  2. 02

    Learn

Begin with a baseline, then study substantial readings, law and practitioner reasoning.

  3. 03

    Apply

Work through decisions, evidence and practical exercises in your program’s own working environment.

  4. 04

    Assess

Complete the required work and demonstrate your learning through the program’s assessment.

What you’ll build

Legal foundations

  • POSH Act, 2013 and Rules
  • Definitions, role boundaries and statutory duties
  • Judgments in their practical context

Procedural rigour

  • Complaint handling and documentation
  • Fair enquiry processes and evidence
  • Reasoned findings and recommendations

Practitioner judgment

  • Workplace complexity and ambiguity
  • Confidentiality, fairness and power dynamics
  • Decisions you can explain and defend

Active application

  • Continuing fictional case files
  • Meaningful exercises and drafting
  • Baseline and post-learning assessment

The certificate

Certification is earned, not automatic

Certificate eligibility depends on completing the required work and meeting the program’s assessment standard. Quiz-based final assessments require at least 80%; the Report Writing Studio centres on a report and written defence.

Learning access lasts 30 days from Start Program. Optional expert consultations support your learning; they do not replace the Internal Committee’s statutory responsibilities.

  • 80% pass threshold on final assessments
  • Up to three assessment attempts
  • Issued by Ungender, an ISO 27001 certified organisation

Frequently asked questions

Is POSH certification mandatory under law?

No. The POSH Act, 2013 does not mandate certification. Employers have statutory duties to constitute and train their Internal Committees. A certificate does not replace those duties.

Do I need to complete another POSH Certifications program first?

No. Each program is standalone. Read the program’s audience and recommended background to decide whether it suits your responsibilities.

Are these live classes or video courses?

No. These are self-paced programs built around substantive reading, legal frameworks, case files and active application. Optional expert consultations are included in the Expert-Guided offering.

When does my access begin?

Your 30-day learning access begins when you select Start Program, not when you enrol.

Does a certificate qualify me as an External Member?

No. Certification supports learning but does not automatically appoint you as an External Member. Organisations must make appointments in accordance with the statutory requirements.
